Getting Here
The heritage center is accessible by Edmonton Transit LRT, with the Strathcona Station stop located directly adjacent to the building. Street parking and paid parking lots are available within two blocks.
For visitors arriving by car from outside Edmonton, the center is located fifteen minutes from Edmonton International Airport via Highway 2 and Whitemud Drive.

The heritage center building features wheelchair-accessible entrances, elevators to all floors, and accessible washroom facilities. Planning Your Visit
We recommend booking programs at least two weeks in advance, particularly for weekend dates during peak season from May through October. Group programs require three weeks advance notice to ensure proper preparation and staffing.
Photography is welcome throughout the heritage center and during tours. Professional photography or filming for commercial purposes requires prior arrangement.
What to Bring
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for all programs. Tours involve standing and walking for extended periods, sometimes on uneven surfaces or historic flooring. Weather-appropriate clothing is essential for programs that include outdoor components or visits to unheated historic structures.
Photography participants should bring their preferred camera equipment. The center provides some basic equipment for workshop participants, but bringing your own ensures familiarity with settings and capabilities.
